Project Latin America - Testimonials!

Following are a few excerpts from testimonials of men whose lives (and families) are being transformed by the Men's Fraternity work in Latin America. Life transformation is our main motivator for pursuing this mission and we are all encouraged by how God is already working!

Project Latin America - Renewed Father
Currently I am married and have five children, three boys and two girls. When I received (Men’s Fraternity) my eyes were opened and I have come to the conclusion that I am my father’s reflection since I was like a “beast” to my children. when I would arrive they would hide, they would greet me with fear. They did not want to eat with me, not even speak to me. I would ask myself why this was so if I did not mistreat them. I respected them and I was not unfaithful to my wife. I discovered this was so when I was sober! I did not realize that when I would drink and use drugs I was totally the opposite. Now my children want to go with me everywhere. They only hear that I am going to church and they say “I am coming dad.” My older son already sits with me and shares his problems. He is mindful of the men’s ’meeting and tells me “dad tomorrow there is the men’s’ meeting. I want to go because I want to be a good father like you.” - Mario Orlando Espinoza Villacorta, father of 5 children

Project Latin America - Church Member
Another section that I have studied in the material is how as sons to face the wound of the father. This part teaches us as sons how we can forgive our fathers, that we allow for divine justice to take care of this, and that we seek a closer relationship with our father. This is exactly what I put into practice. I choose to forgive my father and allow God to deal with him. Through this I was able to get together with my father for two Christmas dinners with my family last year. I had never been able to do this during many years before in my life. It has been through the study of the material of Searching for an Authentic Manhood of Men’s fraternity, that I have been helped to improve some aspects of my life. - Rafael Gonzales - April 2009

Project Latin America - Growing Believer
Personally it has impacted my life in a special way. I have discovered that the word man is very ample and encloses many qualities and virtues, which I did not know. Through the seminar I have learned to be a better husband, a better father and a better son. Before I was very different, now I am loving, gentle, respectful and expressive. Thanks to the seminar that impacted my life I have learned to love my wife, my children, my father and friends. In three years of having given my life to the Lord Jesus Christ, I had not received a seminar that had impacted my life so much. - Samuel de Jesús Cárcamo Valladares 19/04/09

Project Latin America - Pastor and Wife
The first and second portions of the lessons, the man and his wife, have helped me to make the decision to be a better husband. I have decided to treat my wife better, to express my feelings, to have better care of her, to be more grateful for what she does for me and our children. Although I knew all this regretfully I did not put it into practice 100%. I thank God for the change that He has done in me through these teachings. It is not easy for me to say an “ I love you”. I would do it but it was hard for me. Sometimes, when she would ask “Do you love me?”I would say “Yes I love you”. Now this is no longer a problem for me! - Pastor Lindolfo Amador
I considered it necessary to write this short note, in gratitude first to God and secondly to the servant of the God that was inspired to write this material. This is because through it I have been able to enjoy such a special change in the life of my husband. - Pastor Ena Yanery de Amador
